Memeification WarningIt has come to our attention that a certain phrase regarding “freedom” has become memeified and is rapidly spreading itself throughout Dream. This is a very serious threat to the stability of Dream. If it is not stopped, then the phrase and what it represents will work its way into every aspect of Dream and cause unknown chaos. Already we have seen rioting in the streets as a direct result, and have had reports of the phrase appearing in multiple Vignettes where it does not belong. In order to deal with this threat, the Academy asks all law-abiding citizens to cease the use of all Tropes relating to themes of freedom and self-determination immediately. Any information on the origin of the phrase and the Muse(s) responsible will be greatly rewarded. Any attempts to spread the memeification further will be dealt with harshly. We would like to remind everyone that the restriction on coffee also remains in effect. |
Public DisorderSpindle was beset last week by a series of riots and other public order violations. Inquisitives have since been hard at work removing posters and graffiti pertaining to the memeification threat mentioned above. The Academy building was also broken into during the disruptions, a group of criminals taking advantage of the fact that our Inquisitives were hard at work keeping the streets of Spindle safe. Dr Tangle’s “Think Train” was seen landing on the roof of the Academy building at the time of the break-in, causing additional structural damage to it and the surrounding buildings. The Academy would be very grateful for any information about the instigators of these events. In particular, we have questions for Twist, Prof Bismuth Silver, and an individual going by “10 of Masks”. A reward will be given to any who bring forward useful evidence, in particular regarding these individuals. |
Excitement this week in Hub as the lock on the door to the Magnum Opus came undone. Our hard-working Inquisitives have set up station around the doorway to ensure that this most important Vignette is treated with the care and reverence it deserves. A moratorium on alterations has been maintained throughout the last week. Vig-Net have now documented the current state of the Vignette, and the report will be available for all to see at the upcoming Brainstorm. |
Once the Brainstorm is concluded, the moratorium will be lifted and we invite our most prestigious Muses to take part in the Vignette. We cannot say for certainty, but we believe that all other Vignettes will still be able to influence both Jo themselves and the Magnum Opus as it continues to unfold. We hope everyone can work together on this great project, and make it the best work Jo has ever produced. |
Letter to the EditorOnce again I am pleased to see you all hard at work in the Vignettes, despite some disruptions here in Spindle. Without further ado, the winner of this round of the Brainstorm competition under the theme of greenhorn is… Mirror Maze. Congratulations to all those Muses involved. I must thank you all for being so welcoming to Jacqueline and inviting her to take part in your wonderful Vignettes. She greatly enjoyed the experience, and is already looking forward to doing so again. We are maintaining the same rules again for this round, with the theme this time being tragedy. Good Luck! Power OutagesA number of reconstruction efforts are active around Spindle in the wake of the tornado. The damage seems to have been superficial for the most part, but the Exhibition Hall was badly hit. A number of exhibits are currently closed off as repairs are made. Despite the recent influx of Juice as Jo’s creativity has been stimulated in recent weeks, Spindle is also once again experiencing power fluctuations as the Juice Battery was affected by the storm. Power has currently been cut entirely from both Foundation of Secrets and Max Volume Reached. Other Vignettes, as well as parts of Spindle, may see intermittent supply until the problems are resolved. |
Vermin in SpindleA large number of squirrels have appeared in Spindle recently, and have been terrorising its inhabitants. Despite their fluffy and harmless appearance, these squirrels can be dangerous, and should not be approached. Muses are reminded that feeding or otherwise encouraging vermin within Spindle is a public order offence. Exhibition Corner
Due to recent devastation by the tornado, several exhibits are currently closed to the public while repairs are made. Any aid which can be given to the repair efforts would be greatly appreciated. |
