    * In relation to the large quantities of blood involved in these scenes as well as some fluid-based horror and body horror as the frantic dancer breaks down

===== Plot =====

It is a circular Amphitheatre, dark until strobe lights around the room illuminate two dancers. Both look like origami paper people – they start to move and mimic each other. As they dance, the scene around them changes. The paneled walls morph into mirrors, then doors, then archways leading to nowhere. Other human dancers join in. Trees grow and shrink around them, seasons pass and scenes appear and collapse as they dance like pages of a pop up story book.

One dancer gets progressively more and more out of sync, and their side of the Amphitheatre starts corroding, animals start to appear, larger and more hostile they dance with the frantic dancer. Their surroundings become messy, their steps leave water and blood on the ground. Frantic dancer begins to call for help. The other dancer looks panicked, but keeps on dancing their perfect dance – trying to help the frantic dancer but never able to get to them without falling. The music on the frantic dancer’s side gets louder; violent scenes and screams erupt from around them. A gun materializes from smoke in their hand aimed at the perfect dancer, but one of the background dancers jumps in the way and takes the bullet instead., The music ends and lights go out.

===== Landscape =====

Panelled octagonal Amphitheatre with panels of ever changing material, the floor is plush white carpet. There is no roof, only clouds above. The extras that join this Vignette will be human dancers on their the Perfect or Frantic side. The atmosphere feels dense, emotional and somber. Imagine lo-fi beats in the background that gradually get more dramatic and not in a funny way, laughing somehow feels so... out of place here.

===== Key Impressions =====

  * **Perfect Dancer**: <color red>** Not Playable**</color>. An origami paper dancer that is traumatized from constant death, is somehow bent on executing this dance perfectly, and despite the multiple opportunities and doors that appear around the two during their dance, they never leave the Amphitheatre. 

  * **Frantic Dancer**: <color blue>** Playable**</color>. An origami paper dancer that dances well at first, following their partner Perfect Dancer. But slowly starts to make mistake and dance wrongly, so they believe, struggling throughout the dance and gets more and more frustrated towards the end

  * **Background Dancers**: <color blue>**Playable**</color>. These are extras take the form of animals as well as people depending on the scene they are in. They are able to hold onto either Perfect or Frantic dancer as they guide them through their movements.

===== Scenes =====

  * **1**: The two paper dancers start in the middle of the dancefloor, they bow to each other and move steps back, the music starts, they look at each other and start dancing.

  * **2**: Paneled walls change to mirrors, then doorways, then empty darkened archways, then trees overgrow all these entrances. Scenes of flowery fields, cafes and warm bakeries appear around the dancers like popping up from a paper pop-up book.

  * **3**: Frantic Dancer starts to deviate. The trees on their side become more colorful, their side also spawns small animals and weather. Paint splashes on the walls around them.

  * **4**: As it rains, Frantic Dancer’s steps leave water on the ground, they slip and fall while perfect dancer keeps dancing. They cry, then yell at perfect dancer for help. Perfect Dancer tries to help them, but the ground shakes when they get close

  * **5**: Frantic Dancer gets up, now their steps leave blood, there are tears in their body. Frantic dancer starts to limp as they walk. The woodland animals around them transform into wolves.

  * **6**: Smoke condenses into a gun in frantic dancer’s hands, they aim at perfect dancer but one of the wolves jumps in front of them, taking the bullet instead. Lights go out.
