Tonight on Jo TV - Magnum Jopus!

An Announcement

The stage is dark, lights illuminated around its edge. Then, without warning, spotlights flash down – illuminating a sombre-seeming Vance Vorn. He begins to speak.

“Fellow Muses. I am sorry to announce that with only 71 days left for Jo to write their fabled Magnum Opus, that they have barely begun! There is a sense of panic that I’m sure you’ve all noticed around Jommunity, that something must be done before all of Dreamscape itself comes to an end!

With that in mind – I, Vance Vorn, have decided that an expedition will be called! One where we – Muses from all walks of life – will come together in order to write the Magnum Opus together! To build a better world for you, me, your children!

A huge applause bursts from the audience, and several other Muses step onto the stage.

In order to get your Creative Juices flowing, we will be visiting you, yes you at the next Brainstorm in order to put together a crack team of Muses ready to do anything and everything we need to save Dream!

At this, the surrounding Muses burst into applause, and begin to break out into song and dance.

“Magnum Jopus! It’s not so hope-less!”

You switch off, but not before you realise you can’t get it out of your head.

There is a cinematic shot of a cow, grazing lazily in a field.

“Do you ever feel like you need a pick me up!”

Jiggling cans of energy drink appear around the cow backed by stock firework graphics, its pupils dilate, and the camera zooms through into its brain that has tiny dancing cows on it.

“Try Scarlet Cow Energy Drink! Guarunteed get those Creative Juices pumping!”

There is a badly drawn cartoon of Dr. Tangle giving the thumbs up.

“Endorsed by all your favourite chaotic aunties! Get some today! Really though does anyone know where I can get some? Dr. T's office is locked and usually we just take it from her, seriously, we need to stay awake and now we're falling asleep and- Hey!”

“Hey get off me, don't you dare drag me off this set you hear me!”

Indistinct rustling.

“This is an important annoucement! Bring us Scarlet Cow Energy. The research in NFWS depends on it!”

“Wait no! No no not the jacket! Not the Jacket!!!”

The voice fades into the distance. Broadcast cuts.

We have it in Spames!

“Muses far and wide! Today on the shipping forecast we have the power couple cuties from Flight of the Sparrow, stay tuned tonight for our exclusive interview with Sparrow and Tall James!”

Soft jazzy music plays as Advertisements roll.

Soon Sparrow and James waddle onto set, sharing a giant shirt with a heart on it.

“Please give us a round of applause for Spames in their limited edition Shipping Forecast provided merchandise! Aren’t they cute!”

A loud ‘awww’ echoes through the audience.

“So Sparrow, do tell your many fans out there, what do you like about your new sweetie pie?”

Sparrow blushed, “Well he’s always by my side, and I love working together with him. He makes a great partner.”

The announcer nods as they prepare the next question.

“And we viewers understand the Flight of the Sparrow has many editions, a lot of your fans are wondering why it has taken this long for you guys to get together.”

“Well…” Tall James responded. “You’ll have to ask the Muses, but I think it may be because since we’re an adventure vignette, it’s unusual for us to include love as a theme.” He looks lovingly at Sparrow, “though. When I fell for Sparrow, it felt very natural, like it was meant to be.”

“yeah,” Sparrow piped in, “It was like the rest of the story faded behind us, and I could only focus on the adorable things James did, he even learned a spell in the end!”

James laughed at the memory

“You guys are so adorable. You really have that aura of young love about you that I’m sure our viewers, and more importantly, Jo – can sympathize with. Because don’t we all have that high school crush that we used to fantasize about? Don’t we all have that one ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’ in kindergarten that we ‘married’ that one time? I’m sure you all can relate!”

A roaring applause.

“Thank you so much to Spames, that’s all the time we have for today. Thank you so much for tuning in! Remember we’re here every week with fresh new couples – so follow us on our socials to get notifications on who’s coming up next on the Shipping Forecast!”

Spames each wave with the one hand they have free, the other is stuck in their joint shirt. They continue to smile as the studio lights dim.

Grainy footage appears on-screen. Masked individuals appear to be fiddling with the camera.

“The Echo Chamber! It's been attacked! You've got to h-kkkkkkkkkkkk-”

The footage cuts out, and the screen goes black with a high-pitched whine indicating an empty broadcast.

Experience Sharing Seminars

Before you, a man sits calmly in a comfy armchair before a roaring fire.

“Welcome. My name is Brother JoSeph, and you may be familiar with me from the Weekly Sharing Seminars that I have been running in the West Seminar Room of the Jommunity Centre.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you, dear Muses, to come and visit our brand new Jo-ology Centre, where we have established a temple for all of us to come together in Jo's magnificence.”

The screen cuts, showing a vast, windowless, pyramidal structure. Around its base, tiny Muses in robes are milling around.

“We will of course be continuing out Weekly Sharing Seminars, though the location will move to the Jo-ology Centre - where we are better equipped to handle the overwhelming demand that we have experienced so far.

We hope to see you there soon!”

Cheery music begins to play, and the faces of many happy, smiling Muses is shown on-screen.
