Brainstorms Announced

The recent crisis surrounding the Dreamscape may have taken another step towards a solution with the recent announcement of Brainstorms, which are to be held biweekly in the Exhibition Hall. A joint venture by Pure Inspiration and the Academy of Thought, a large number of Muses have been invited to take part – along with numerous Impressions from the most prominent. It is hoped that by launching an active collaborative effort that ideas will be borne that will succeed in reinvigorating Jo, and revitalising the Dreamscape. The efficacy and sustainability of the plan has had some detractors within the Academy, with an anonymous source reporting that there are likely to be those from the Free Idea Forum present – most likely in disguise, though it is unclear whether such reports are credible at |
this stage. In any case, Muses are warned that their guard should be held high due to attempts by the FIF and rogue Impressions to disrupt the ordinary workings of Spindle. Despite criticism, the official line from the Academy is that Brainstorms are an opportunity for the most capable within Spindle to make themselves known, and to present real, workable solutions. It has been described as “a bilateral project that heralds a new dawn of hope for Muses”, though there have been murmurs from NFWS and the Sell-Out Syndicate that they have been snubbed by the efforts. Surely only time will tell where these meetings will lead, but at present the mood is one of high hopes and measured optimism. |

And to offer a further incentive for creation - as if you needed it! - we of Pure Inspiration will be suggesting a series of themes around which to focus some of your Vignette alterations. Any piece matching the theme will be judged by myself and Head Curator Veilmonte, and the winner will be assured a prime position in the Exhibition Hall! The theme for this round is, appropriately, collaboration. I look forward to seeing what all of you can come up with. |
Multiple Break-ins

The Academy of Thought has received report of a number of break-ins around Spindle. This includes an attack on the Exhibition Hall which resulted in the destruction and possible theft of multiple pieces which were on display. The NFWS was also broken into, though it is unclear at this time if the two events are connected. The Academy is taking this very seriously and investigations are ongoing. The Academy would like to remind every Muse to keep an eye out for any suspicious behaviour and report it immediately to an Inquisitive. |

Missing Muses

Six Muses have been reported missing, with their current whereabouts unknown although suspected to be a location in nearby Far Dream. It is known that the Muses in question are siblings - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. Though their whereabouts is unknown, it has been reported that they are all |
Affiliation Muses, and have keen interests in the teen romance and horror genres. If anyone has any information that may help in tracking down these Muses, please report it immediately to the Academy of Thought or to your nearest NFWS transmitting post. |
NFWS Dream ForecastJuice production rate has reached a lifetime low at -25 KiloJonits per Drecond. Rolling blackouts have been instituted in all areas of Spindle with the exception of the core. Necessary services will continue to be operational, with priority to Vignettes and official buildings. Expect cloudy skies in the day with low chance of rain. Winds are picking up as humidity decreases, though it is anticipated that this short spell will be over relatively swiftly. Chances of rain increase at night, with the possibility of periodic thunderstorms throughout the week. |
