Atlantia

Plot

In the wastes of the ocean there lies a group of rebels primed to take over the abandoned city of Atlantia. Resources have been low since the great revolution 100 years ago – and now the Seafoam gang are running out of food, if they don’t storm the city soon they may not make it another year. Only problem is, rumors that Atlantia is haunted seem true, everyone who enters the city seems to be spat out, bloody and running for their lives. Apparently something went down there in the past, and something in the city wants revenge. Some say it’s the ghost of a princess, some say it’s the souls of the prisoners that want retribution. All they know is that nothing can prepare them for this paranormal threat. But they have no choice.

Other gangs also have their eye on the only supply stash in the 7 seas, Flowerhorn’s goons seem to have tried a few times with no success, word travels that they lost 70% of their followers to the apparently empty city. Even Great mistress Grey doesn’t dare touch the place, being the only gang to have never attempt a siege on Atlantia. An action packed adventure ghost story where the sea form gang storm the palace and barely make it out alive.

Landscape

Taking place undersea canonically 100 years after the vignette Decadent Dreams, but in ruins from constant war and fighting amongst people. It has now become a barren wasteland with no large cities, but only small settlements of gangs that rob and fight over the little natural resources they have left. Atlantia remains an abandoned, but shining castle rumored to be full of food and weapons. There is mist on its grounds and the palace halls are haunted. It is bordered by gates.

Key Impressions

  • Star: Playable. Scout in the Seafoam Gang. Curious and exuberant, limbs are able to grow back when chopped off. Looks like a human except she's purple
  • Ivan: Playable. Swordsman in the Seafoam Gang. Righteous. A fast swimming Tuna merman with a sword and shield
  • Clown: Playable. Medic in the Seafoam Gang. Exasperated with his two friends shenanigans. Has a colourful clownfish tail and is able to administer healing darts to his friends
  • Monster Octo: Playable. This monster extends its tentacles through the floor of the castle to beat down whoever dares enter, it is angry and strong. It can also spray ink over the walls and people.
  • Manta Ray: Playable. A ghost of a Manta Ray, giant and swimming with sharks around her, she patrols the palace courtyard and attacks anyone that comes across with her rapier tail
  • Rockfish Evelyn: Playable. A Banshee, can create illusions and scream loudly to stun people.
  • Zombie Blue: Not Playable. A Zombified blue whale, wants Mistress Grey’s head on a stake
  • Mistress Grey: Not Playable. A old but badass Grey whale with scars over her face, head of a gang in the wastes and rules with an iron fist, refuses to let people go to Atlantia despite the gang being short on resources.

Scenes

  • 1: The Seaform gang has no more food left; things are getting desperate. They encounter a mysterious lady who tells them there is more food in Atlantia. They prepare to storm Atlantia, building up explosives strapped to their whale vehicles and masks if they encounter poisons.
  • 2: Their scout Star goes to see Mistress Grey and her gang for advice as they are the most established in the land, and apparently Mistress Grey had connections to Atlantia in the past. Mistress Grey however refuses to see her.
  • 3: They arrive at Atlantia’s gates, it seems long abandoned, going in, they are accosted by sharks with blank eyes and a Giant Manta Ray. They run into the mansion, covered in black ink, they are attacked by tentacles coming up from the floor. They overcome them with weapons and fire.
  • 4: They dine with the mysterious Rockfish lady in the kitchen, where bountiful food remains. Their leader, Ivan, kneels and swears revenge to those that murdered Rockfish's family.
  • 5: They find a towering zombie of a blue whale in the throne room, who asks for Mistress Grey’s head on a stake, if they can do that, their souls can finally leave this place. It reveals to them the dark past of Mistress Grey. Ivan agrees to the deal.
  • 6: Ivan roused a host of Grey's enemies and together they slew her in her sleep. The gang is a little sceptical but still follows his directions.
  • 7: The gang brings back Grey's head to Atlantia to fulfill their promises. Rockfish reveals that Grey was the final member of her family and now her murderer, too, must face justice. Ivan is slain by his best friend Clown to finish the cycle.
